1. When all those bunchies unbunched, these shoes turned out NOT to have sexy curves
2. The bright yellow flats under a floor-length ivory dress did not look cute, nontraditional, and fun, as bright heels do, but rather looked like clown shoes
3. Mama Mouse and ChiMaid* both suddenly confessed to me that they had never really liked these shoes to begin with.
Phooey.
I liked them. I liked how their little toe buckles look exactly like shredded wheat.** But honestly, I'd have preferred to hear that news earlier, before I tried them on in front of the alterations lady. Who now thinks I like clown shoes. And that I'm obsessed with shredded wheat.
Are you guys encountering this hesitation to disagree with you, micies? Mama Mouse and ChiMaid are not usually people to pull punches. Usually they would each say, as I was REACHING for the shoe, "WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?" But in this case, they both pretended to like them.
"You guys!" I exclaimed, "Tell me if I'm choosing something awful!"
They looked at each other.
"Um...we did," they say.
Sigh. The shoe hunt continues. This is so complicated that I might have to have shoesdays Tuesdays for awhile.
* Am trying this out. Since I have two maids of honor, they need names. Country Mouse is already Country Mouse. Other maid of honor lives here, so how about ChiMaid? Other ideas?
** Seriously. Zoom in. Shredded wheat.

I am surprised. They look like such cute shoes. I'm sure if you paired them with a short skirt, they wouldn't look weird. But the full lengthness might render them odd.
Keep looking! I have confidence you'll find the right pair.
sexy flats are so HARD to find. i am a flats person through and through. i own awesome heels, but might wear them once a year... and i'm short, you know this. steve madden usually makes some pretty sexy flats. are you set on wearing yellow? i came across these, and really, it doesn't get any sexier...

Awwww... they look so cute though!
they look cute to me
Knitted by nanas (so goes our adverts for the wheat!)
Flats are hard to find. Do you get kurt geiger over there?
I'm having exactly the same problem. I saw some cute ones on DSW but not sure how comfortable they are going to be. I might just be rocking some sandals, I'm getting tired of being stressed about my footwear.
I'm pretty sure I expressed my doubts about these babys having curves. Sorry dear. Sometimes ya just gotta try em on with the dress.
And, IDK. Maybe it's ok for them to sometimes hold their tounge? I mean, it sounds like maybe the reasons they didn't like them are diff from the reasons you didn't like them? and what if they would have had great curves AFTER ALL. and you ended up loving them. like really. wouldn't it maybe be better to not know that they don't love them? just a thought.
