You have to love a bride like Holly, who not only chooses an amazingly big statement veil, but wears it, steadfastly, in every single photo. Holly and Kenny are like us, micies--they happily scampered off the beaten track and towards the deeply personal."We wanted our wedding to be very personal and to incorporate our own styles and preferences," Holly said. "We were going for fun and relaxed, yet classy and hip! We had a candle lighting ceremony during the wedding, where every guest received an individual candle and the light was passed from our unity candle to theirs (the first person on both sides of
the church started passing the light)."
They got married in a Catholic church--Holly is Catholic--but also had a poem read in Hebrew to honor the father of the bride. They designed their own invitations at Paper Source; for favors, the mother of the bride made 200 muffins.*
Holly also saved some cash by doing her own centerpieces. They bought round and rectangular glass vases at Ikea, and painted lampshades to set above them. Then they added orchids or purple kale--and light--and got that neat splash of color you see above.
And props to Kenny and Holly for getting hitched in the Chicago winter (we do not mess around with winter in this neck of the woods. It is COLD). They just served comfort food, smiled in all their outdoor photos, and did it all anyway.(Photography by Jeremy Lawson.)
* Am picturing Mama Mouse's face if I asked her to make 200 muffins. Ha ha ha ha ha.

That veil is amazing! I wouldn't have the guts...
In your preview you mentioned a cuff bracelet. Do you have photos?
"wait until you see her wrist--there is a cuff bracelet to rival that last one."
