I have been railing on against strapless dresses, at least on me, for years now. I am small up top and strapless means lots of hitching things up throughout the night, hitching when I would rather be dancing. But this Monique Lhuillier blew that whole thing out of the water. I love this dress. This is contender #2 (contender #1 here). The lace, again, is heavy and delicious. You can choose the color of the silk that underlays the lace, which means it can be classic ivory or a slightly contrasting darker color, like the one pictured. And I love the ribbon. The ribbon makes the whole thing work.

However, it's even more dollars than contender #1. Sigh, yearn, sigh...

I too am small on top but was able to wear a strapless wedding dress. All you need is some really good tailoring and you're set. I didn't adjust or fidget all day. It can work if you really want the dress!

oh it is BEAUTIFUL!! I LOVE Monique's dresses...but they are not so kind on my budget. I thought for sure I would go strapless...but I ended up with straps...crazy how it works out!

Oh - it's for this reason I didn't try on any high-high-end dresses. I too would have fallen in love. This is simply beautiful. Sigh indeed.

Remember a good seamstress can always add straps to a strapless gown. Adding spaghetti straps to that dress would be pretty simple.

Yummy. That silk is like butter and cream and chocolate all melted together and poured in a bath tub ready for you to get in.
