Delicious treats to serve at an impromptu engagement party the day after Thanksgiving, when you have to appeal to full people to eat even more: ((Abridged selection))*
The knockout: get wheel of brie. Cut off top crust and stick in raspberry preserves and chopped pecans. Wrap with frozen puff pastry sheet and bake until puffy and melty. Sprinkle with raspberries and toasted pecans. (This sucker lasted no more than ten minutes in a buffet with many, many other foods.)
The standby: always there for when you're drunk at the end of the evening and still munchy. Trusty ham biscuits with Famous Amos, which I'm not sure is a real thing. Mama Mouse says it's half mayo and half mustard, and it is excellent. You can buy it pre-mixed, but it's just called "Famous Sauce."

We had an excellent little engagement cocktail party, micies. Good friends. A delicious prosecco-and-elderflower signature cocktail. Burgundy silk dress. It was a nice night.

* There were many other treats. Including truffles we put in the garage cause they were melting and then forgot about until much later, when we were all drunk.
