I have an amazing giveaway for you, nice mice!* The lovely and amazing Kimi over at A Printable Press wants to create a new invitation design, inspired by you and your wedding!

A Printable Press is a stationery company that does customized PDF files with your text and colors, so that you can print them out at home (or with an online company, or even with your local print shop). You can save a bundle by doing your invites this way.

To enter: leave a comment about the sort of look you haven't been able to find. Do you yearn for cowgirl invitations? Are you thinking of a golf-themed special day? Do you and your honey have a thing for jackalopes?** Planning a midwinter destination wedding to Alaska?

The most intriguing concept will become a new design for the Printable Press collection, and the winner will get a free invitation: either the new design or any other from their Website. Seriously, how excited are you?!I'm putting in a plug for these papel picado invites. You know how much I love papel picado.
And I like these birdies, too.

* It's my birthday, and I'm sharing the love!
** Yeah, that's us, actually. More about this sometime.

Happy birthday Mouse, and thanks for the giveaway!

I would love to win an invitation design - we haven't been able to find the perfect invites for us anywhere. We are getting married in a mansion on the Delaware river on a Sunday afternoon. We want to invite our guests to experience a breezy summer day at the shore, minus the typical nautical-inspired elements like shells, sand, etc. There are so few invites out there that capture the light and airy feel of a wedding on the water without reverting to these beach motifs. It would be amazing to send our guests an invite that reflects both the elegant and playful aspects of our river-shore wedding in our colors of red and pale blue.

Wonderful giveaway...I love this idea!

Well, we are getting married at a yacht club in Clearwater, FL...so you automatically get the nautical theme in your head...except...the people who made this club apparently wanted it to look like a hunting lodge. So, the outside is nautical, featuring boat slips, the beach, etc...and the inside features huge stone fireplaces and moose heads (which were recently removed apparently...hmmm never really seen a moose in FL...). I am attempting to blend in the beauty of the water with the cozy feel of the inside of the venue...its full of contradictions!

I am in love with letterpress, but I just can't find the right design. I have been looking for months and squirreling away ideas that are almost, but not quite.

We will be having a very small, low-budget wedding that's not a cookie-cutter affair. We've been really thinking about what elements to include in our wedding, what's important to us and cutting the rest.

I want something graphical and a bit whimsical, but still elegant and beautiful. A design that will leave a beautiful indent after being letterpressed.

Happy Birthday!

I'm obsessed with gig posters, and I'd love a vibrant wedding invitation that looks like the gig poster for a romantic, whimsical band. And I can't find one!

feliz cumpleanos!!!

We are getting married on a South Florida nature preserve. Our colors are pink, green, orange and yellow. Our STDs feature gussied up alligators dancing in a bayou. We are looking for something that captures some of those same elements: the beauty of nature, a nontraditional bash and whimsical celebration. My vision is a loopy, oversized font, fauna or flora details and bright colors.

We are having a county fair themed wedding and we have been trying to find invites that look like a fair poster that you would see posted on an electrical pole.
