After the Miranda dress, which I
looooved, I thought I might just like all things Monique
Lhuillier. And then I tried this one on. Quite nice in front, but when you turn around,
BAM!, that's a lot of back. It felt a little too much like casino night. He-Mouse's elderly grandma would have to look at the whole expanse of my back,
nekkid, for the whole ceremony...maybe not.
On the other hand, I like this skirt better than the other one.

I loved the same dress, sans back. Why does she think you'd want to be that exposed? It just seems like trouble of one sort or another.
Lazario. Has a dress like this but decent. I wanted it so badly. Unfortunitly not $5K badly. Anyway, he did her thing, but so much better.
Damn. I still want that dress.
I like this one! I don't mind a nekkid back. Not. at. all. The back of my dress drapes into a deep V. During our Catholic Wedding Mass, I will be standing up there for a lonnng time, and I like the idea of the back of the dress being interesting and revealing. It's still tasteful, mind you, but also sexy and elegant. I'm doing Pilates twice a week and TONS of push-ups in preparation. Hoping it pays off!
Thanks for sharing all of your great dress finds. It's still fun to look, even though I've found the one. xo.
I LOVE the nekkid back, LOVE IT! I'm obviously a bit of a trollop though.
I think it's really pretty! I was considering a backless dress. But being that exposed often makes me cold and sneezy. Which would be awkward during the ceremony.
Obviously, it's most important that you're comfortable during YOUR wedding. I think this dress is lovely, though! The lace is so soft and demure, but the open back keeps the aesthetic from being too stodgy and antiquated.
Another consideration: are you planning to wear a veil? That could cover the nekkidness during the ceremony.
Ohhh! This is my dress. I love ML and swore it off my heart after falling in love over and over again after seeing it in photos and even after trying it on. BUT I found it on ebay for 1750 in my size and everything. HAVE HOPE! You can get your dress in creative ways!
